BWEA Cymru 08Wednesday 9 July 2008, St. David's Hotel, CardiffJane Davidson AM, Minister for Environment, Sustainability and Housing, confirmed to give keynote address
BWEA, which represents the wind, wave and tidal stream energy technologies, has established a dedicated Wales Committee and full time office in 2006 to take forward the interests of the industry as well as to fulfil Welsh Assembly Government policy and targets set out in ‘Technical Advise Notice 8: Planning for Renewables’. With the Welsh Assembly Government now expected to publish an Energy Route Map which will outline Wales’ goal of becoming self sustaining in renewable energy, it is necessary to look forward and discuss how wind wave and tidal technologies will contribute towards these ambitions. It is the intention of the BWEA Cymru conference to discuss this new drive towards a renewables future for Wales, UK and Europe. The conference will also examine the progress made towards achieving the existing TAN 8 renewable energy targets including grid offshore and marine developments, as well as the benefits delivered to local communities from existing renewable energy projects. Please note this exhibition will only be open to registered conference delegates. See who is exhibiting and book a stand.
