How to use this website...

There are two main ways of getting about this website. First, answer the "who are you?" question on the left of the front page, we have made some welcome pages to suit people depending on what they're looking for, even if they don't know they're looking for it yet! Second, the menu bar at the top is a quick way of getting about for our members or people who use the site a lot. If you click the button at the top (e.g. "wind energy") it will take you to the main page for that section. The options that pop up below are the most popular links from there, but there are plenty more to be found on the main page.

This site uses a lot of web technology because we have to move a lot of information around. These include macromedia flash (web animation), adobe acrobat pdf (printer friendly documents) ASP (online databases) and ZIP files (squeezes data into a smaller file). If you have any trouble with any of these technologies, just click on the links to download plug-ins for your internet browser (e.g. Netscape / Internet Explorer ) to add to what you can do online.

ASP: If you have trouble with our database of members or with conference registration, you might need to adjust your security settings to allow 'per session cookies'. These don't get store on your computer like normal cookies, they just store information whilst your browser is open and get deleted when you close it.
