Over 400 delegates will attend BWEA Offshore 08, sponsored by SeaRoc. BWEA's seventh annual offshore wind conference, will be held at the QEII Centre in Westminster on Wednesday 4 June 2008, and will address key issues affecting the development of offshore wind energy in the UK. Delegates will be made up of senior figures from the renewables industry, including developers, component manufacturers, utilities, financiers and legal firms.

Conference

The conference will include high level presentations from government and industry, covering Policy for Tomorrow, a panel debate chaired by Stephen Sackur, Delivery Today and Delivery Tomorrow. Keynote speakers include:

  • Richard Lambert, Director-General of the Confederation of British Industry
  • Rob Hastings, Director of Marine Estates at The Crown Estate

SeaPlannerPre-conference reception

A networking reception will be held the evening before the conference, from 18.30 on Tuesday 3rd June 2008. The reception, sponsored by SeaPlanner, will be held in the Caxton Lounge of the QEII Centre, Westminster. The reception will be open to registered conference delegates only.
