BWEA’s 29th annual conference and exhibition was the single most successful event held by the Association. Sponsored by ScottishPower Renewables, the event was held at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre in Glasgow and attended by 1,600 senior industry figures from the UK, Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, India, Ireland, Kingdom of Bahrain, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, USA and elsewhere.
Over 100 speakers took to the platform, from government ministers to champions of industry, to highlight the urgent need to invest in wind, wave and tidal power and the opportunities this will bring to the UK, and to address the remaining barriers facing the continued growth of the industry. The conference proceedings, sponsored by OrbisEnergy, are now available for anyone to view online.
