In order to enable and encourage increased networking opportunities, BWEA arranged a series of social events.

Monday 9 October - Civic Reception with Lord Provost of Glasgow

BWEA is grateful to the Lord Provost of Glasgow, who hosted a civic reception to welcome the industry to the city, held in the one of the city’s most important and prestigious buildings – the City Chambers.

Tuesday 10 October - Conference Social

An informal networking evening was held on board the Glenlee Tall Ship in Glasgow Harbour, just behind the SECC. Congratulations go to Sgurr Energy, who won the BWEA darts match for the second year running. Congratulations also go to the DTI, who won the quiz.

Wednesday 11 October - BWEA Annual Gala Dinner and Ceilidh

Over 600 people attended the BWEA Annual Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony at the Hilton Hotel in Glasgow. Details of the Awards Ceremony are outlined below:
