BWEA28: Securing Our Future

10-12 October 2006, SECC Glasgow

Exhibition

120 companies active in the wind, wave and tidal energy industry exhibited at BWEA28, making this BWEA's largest exhibition to date.

Exhibitors included wind turbine manufacturers, marine device manufacturers, developers, contractors, consultants, suppliers/services companies, electricity generators, utilities, financiers, insurers, component/materials manufacturers, and research/academic institutions. The accompanying conference addressed all the up-to-the minute issues affecting onshore wind, offshore wind, wave and tidal energy and small wind systems.

The exhibition was the largest of its kind in the UK and is organised by the industry, for the industry. All proceeds from BWEA events are generated back into developing wind, wave and tidal energy in the UK.

If you have any queries please contact Sara Abuzaid, BWEA Events Officer - email sara@bwea.com or call +44 (0)20 7689 2075.

Shell Scheme or Space Only?

'Shell scheme' is the term used in the exhibition industry referring to exhibition stands that come ready prepared for exhibitors. At BWEA28 a shell scheme or full service stand includes walls, carpet, 2 spotlights, 1 electric point, 1 table, 2 chairs and your company name board above the stand (per 9 square metre stand). This is what most exhibitors opt for. Companies booking large exhibition stands may prefer to construct their own stand with a unique design. These exhibitors would opt for 'space only', which includes no walls, carpet, spotlights, electrics or furniture at all.

Benefits of Exhibiting

All exhibitors are entitled to:

  • one complimentary full conference pass per stand, including one Gala Dinner ticket (exhibitors are required to confirm their complimentary tickets by 22 September)
  • one complimentary exhibitor pass including lunch and coffee break tickets per 9 square metres (stands smaller than 9 square metres are also entitled to one free exhibitor pass)
  • a complimentary one page advert, a 50 word company description and your company contact details in the Exhibition Catalogue, sponsored by WindPro (see guidelines - note deadline of 31 July 2006)
  • a direct link from this web page to your company's website (see below for the up-to-date list of exhibitors).
